An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Gusoo area of Pulwama district of Kashmir on Tuesday morning.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday morning the RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the Gusoo area.
The cordon continued for nearly an hour during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
During the ongoing heated exchange of gunfire, one Army man has been killed and a Policemen has alsp been injured.
The injured Policemen has bern rushed to the nearby hospital.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the area.
A massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
