Prominent Kashmiri cleric suffers heart attack in Madina, hospitalised

Mufti Sayyed Abdul Raheem al-Hassani, a well-known Islamic scholar and cleric, had a severe heart attack on Tuesday in Medina. He was subsequently hospitalised, and his condition is described as critical.

According to reports, Mufti Abdul Raheem al-Hassani, a well-known Muslim scholar from the Baramulla region of North Kashmir, went on Umrah pilgrimage and was at Masjid al-Nabawi when he complained of heart trouble and subsequently suffered a massive heart attack.

He was later transferred to a hospital, where it has been reported that he is in critical condition. “Mufti Sahab is a valuable resource for us, and we should all pray for his quick recovery” another scholar, who was travelling with him added. “Everyone is requested to perform Sadaqa, make Dua, and offer special prayers and ask Allah to grant Mufti Sahab a rapid recovery.”
