Railway Police remove ‘mentally unsound’ girl from railway track, hand her over to family

A ‘mentally unsound’ teenage girl was spotted today sitting on the railway track in the Nadigam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The Railway Police removed her from the track and handed her over to the family.

Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhat, the uncle of the girl told news agency Kashmir News Trust that she (name withheld) is mentally unsound and was not on the track to commit suicide as is being claimed by people on social media.

Bhat thanked Railway Police for removing her from the railway track and handed her over to the family. (KNT)
