Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the 55RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police have launched the operation jointly. June 30 News spread in the wee hours of the morning on 01 July that the famous commander of LeT, Bashir Ahmed Wani (Lashkar) alias Abu Ukasha had been trapped in the Breenti area of Southern Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district. Women Commandos Prepared to Deal with Stone Throwers

June 30 Stone throwing incidents have been on rise in the Kashmir valley post the Ramadan ceasefire which saw a drop in the number of stone pelting incidents. To tackle the situation, The Central Reserve Police Force has prepared a team of Women troopers to deal with stone throwers after it has been found that women are actively participating in Stone throwing. The team has been provided the special training of fixing weapons in less than a minute, fighting blindfold and tackling the enemy during the night. Other than this the women teams have been taught special skills to deal with stone pelting crowds especially women and they are expected to soon function in the Kashmir valley. (The Kashmiriyat)

Railway services suspended, schools shut for tomorrow

June 29 The railway authorities have decided to shut the railway services tomorrow from banihal to Srinagar. "In the view of flood situation, the railway authorities have decided to shut the railway services on Saturday from Banihal to Srinagar," a railway official told The Kashmiriyat. The divisional commissioner Kashmir range has also issued a notification ordering schools to remain shut tomorrow. Meanwhile water levels are slowly reducing in Jhelum tributaries including Waishaw and Arpat.

15 Year old boy Killed in Clashes in Pulwama

June 29 One boy has been killed in clashes near encounter site in Chatpora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Faizan Ahmed, son of Dr. Abdul Gani, a resident of New Colony in Pulwama has succumbed to his injuries at District hospital in Pulwama. "They are originally the residents of Ladow Khrew in Pampore but they have been provided Medical quarters in Pulwama since Abdul Gani, the father of Faizan is a doctor," a Local told The Kashmiriyat. Faizan had been injured during clashes near Gunfight sight in Pulwama. An Encounter had erupted in the area in which three Militants have been killed so far whose identities are yet to be confirmed by the officials. The Search operations are still on at the encounter site.
