Anantnag Resident Dies of Covid- 5 Dead in the Fresh Wave in Achabal Belt So Far

Suhail Dar One more person died of covid 19 in the Kashmir valley on Monday morning, officials told The Kashmiriyat. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, a health official said that a 70-year-old patient from the Damhal Khashipora area of Anantnag who had been admitted to SKIMS in Srinagar on 23 April has died of covid on Monday morning. "He was suffering from pneumonia after which we shifted him to the Srinagar's SKIMS, where he has died of covid-19," the official said. He said that so far five persons have died of covid in the Achabal belt in this fresh re-surge that has gripped the Kashmir valley and Jammu. Ten more persons have died of Covid-19 Since Morning in Jammu Kashmir.

Police Arrest Man with Fake Currency in Anantnag

Police arrested a man with fake Indian currency notes amounting to over Rs 11 thousand from the Khanabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The accused has been identified as Vikar Dar of Batengoo village of Anantnag. Sources told that the arrest and recovery of fake currency in the denomination of Rs 200 were made by a police party from police post Khanabal. The accused was arrested at a checkpoint. Police have registered an FIR vide number 120/ 2021 under section 489-A, B, C at police post of Khanabal. Police sources said that the man is being questioned and more arrests are expected in coming days. KNT
