December 20 Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam have said that Yawar Ahmed Dar of Gasipora, Kulgam was part of the mob at the encounter site who sustained a stray bullet injury after which he succumbed at the hospital on June 26, 2018. The case as per the statement issued  was heard by the SHRC member Dilshad Shaheen and the next date of hearing was fixed on March 7, 2019, in case SHRC/208./Anantnag/2018. Pulwama Killings- Spontaneous Shutdown in South Kashmir, Internet Snapped

December 15 A complete shutdown is being observed in South Kashmir including main towns of Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Islamabad (Anantnag) against the killing of seven civilians and three Militants in Sirnoo area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that scores of protesters hit the streets in Islamabad township of South Kashmir as the news of killing of seven civilians reached the area, protests also erupted in Sopore, Srinagar areas. The forces used tear smoke shells to quell the protests. However, there was no immediate report of any injury. Owner of the house where nine Kashmiris were killed in October found Dead

December 11 The bullet ridden body of Sheeraz Ahmed Bhat (Czak) has been found in Awahatoo area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district early morning on Tuesday. Pertinently Sheeraz Ahmed Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammed Bhat was abducted by unknown gunmen from the Laroo area after they barged inside his house in the Laroo Kulgam area on October 27. His body was found early morning in the Awahatoo area in Kulgam after which locals called the Police. Sheeraz who was kidnapped by the unknown gunmen on 27 October is the owner of the house where three Militants were killed in an encounter with Government Forces on 21 October, 7 Civilians were also killed. December 03 The Government Forces on Monday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Makdampora of Quimoh area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District. Teacher who asked Students not to Throw Stones Booked for Inciting Violence in Kulgam

November 29 A teacher posted in Government Degree College in Kulgam identified as Abdul Bari has been booked for inciting violence in the college campus by the Jammu Kashmir Police. In August forces entered the premises of Government Degree College in Kulgam and fired tear smoke shells inside the college premises after which the students threw at the Government Forces. Abdul Bari who is a resident of Czadder area in Kulgam according to eyewitnesses intervened and managed to control the students and disperse them away from the spot after which the students left the college. November 27 Two Militants have been killed in the ongoing encounter that started between Militants and Government Forces in the Redwani Bala area of Quimoh belt in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district District late night on Monday.
