Danishwar Hameed A 19-year-old youth from South Kashmir's Kulgam district has gone missing. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the family of the youth identified as Ikhlas Ahmad Hajam son of Abdul Ahad Hajam a resident of Kujjar said that today their son went missing. The family has filed a missing report at the concerned Police station in Yaripora.

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that a government lecturer from Dadipora village died soon after complaining about sudden severe pain in the chest at his home. They said Mysar Maqbool (37 years old) presently was a lecturer at GHHS Qoimoh was immediately rushed to a nearby healthcare facility, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the bridge collapsed when a truck was crossing it and the vehicle was stuck in the broken portion of the bridge. The bridge connects various areas with district headquarters in the South Kashmir district of kulgam. The local appeals to higher authorities to repair this bridge as soon as possible.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that two militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter on Wednesday, however, the identity of the slain militants are yet to be identified. Danishwar Hameed A gunfight has started between militants and government forces in the Czimmer area of Kulgam district in  South Kashmir. An Official told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday afternoon a joint team of 09 RR of Indian Army, police, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Czimmer, Kulgam. As the forces inched closer towards the suspected spot, the militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight. As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Saturday booked a man for domestic violence in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. In a statement the Police said that today a woman namely Jozey Jan wife of Hilal Ahmad Shan resident of Zangalpora approached Police Station Devsar in a critical condition for assistance from kulgam police, she was shifted to District hospital kulgam as she was in dire need of medical treatment. Police spokesman further said that in the mean time a video upload by her on social media was received by Kulgam Police. The low tension lines hanging on wooden logs and tree trunks in Kahrote village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district pose a threat to the local residents as the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to maintain the lines properly. Locals of Kahrote in South Kashmir's Kulgam district told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that most of the low tension (LT) lines have been erected on wooden logs and tree trunks as the authorities have failed to lay lines as per the set procedure. A daily wager of the Power Development Department (PDD) received severe burn injuries after he received an electric shock in the Chawalgam area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Saturday morning. An official told that a PDD daily wager Sartaj Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh of Hanand, Chawalgam received serious burn injuries due to electric shock when he came in contact with a live wire in Hanand locality.
