Lelhari Made the Head of AGH after Zakir Musa’s Killing

Days after the killing of Zakir Musa, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind Chief, the group has appointed Hameed Lelhari as its head.

Sources informed The Kashmiryat that Lelhari who has joined Militancy in 2015 is a resident of Lelhar area of Kakapora in Pulwama.

Hameed was the deputy of Musa after Soliha Mohammed Akhoon who was killed in an encounter in November 2018 in Aripal area of Tral.

He is one of the ten initial members of Zakir Musa’s group which parted ways from Hizb ul Mujahideen as per Indian Security officials, eight of whom are now.

Musa was kiled during an encounter in Pulwama’s Tral on Friday morning.

Reports suggest that security forces made efforts to make Musa surrender but he didn’t relent and continued to resist the forces using grenades, eventually being killed in a gunfight.
